Stitching Class

1 in 20 women are unemployed

In Pakistan, one in twenty women are unemployed. Many widows, mothers, and young girls living in low-income communities lack access to the education needed to gain proper certification for a job in the workplace. To combat this, we have added stitching classes at our center to provide an opportunity for these girls to gain essential skills that can be used toward employment. All of the materials used in the course are provided free of charge, and students are also encouraged to sell their work as well. However, due to recent high interest in our program, more sewing machines are needed to expand our current class size. A generous donation of just $25 can help us provide a machine for our classroom, giving more mothers and widows a chance to learn the skills that can help them secure steady employment and further provide for their children.
